First Stop – La Spezia, Italy and Cinque Terre Boat Trip

Our first stop was in La Spezia (The Spices), Italy.  La Spezia has been settled since prehistoric times.  It was an important port in Roman times.  We toured through the town of La Spezia and then took a boat tour along the Cinque Terre (Five Lands), a rugged portion of the coast on the Italian Riviera.  There are numerous small villages built into the hills and cliffs along the coast.  You can see more La Spezia and Cinque Terre pictures at our Smugmug site:  https://dancooksey.smugmug.com/Mediterranean-Cruise-2018/La-Spezia-Italy/

  1. Wow! The multicolored buildings reminded me of spices! Did they still sell spices? Did you purchase any?

  2. Spectacular! I am always impressed by how old many of the structures are and that are they still functional.
