Super Blood Moon

Betty and I stayed up Sunday night to watch the lunar eclipse. I took this picture early in the evening as the moon rose over the Sandia Mountains.

Full moon known as the “Wolf Moon”

Later in the evening, I took this picture of the eclipse as it was half way through.

Half eclipse

Unfortunately, a high scattering of thin clouds came in and effectively obscured our view of the full eclipse when the moon would turn red.

So, using photographic technology, I created my own “Blood Moon.”

Created “Blood Moon”

  1. Very cool Dan!! Attached is the low res version Jacquie made. She really doesn’t have the right lens and with the low res FB version the pic doesn’t do it justice but this is what she put together.

All my love to you and Betty!!
