Whenever we return home after being gone for any length of time, one of the first things we usually say is, “Our Mountain” when we see the Sandia Mountain. It can look so different given the time of day and the weather conditions.
Here’s an example. Both pictures were taken yesterday, Sunday.
The first is during the day.
The second was taken at sunset when the last of the sun’s rays, the red wavelengths, turn the mountain watermelon pink which gives the name, Sandia, Spanish for watermelon.
ENJOY YOUR MOUNTAIN AND YOUR BLOG. AL
