Betty inherited a lot from her mother who died when Betty was 20. She has her loveliness, gentleness, warmth, compassion and her green thumb.
Last summer she bought a couple of orchids from the grocery store. Normally, as winter approaches and the blooms are gone, they are often just thrown away.
Betty decided she was going to see if she could keep them alive through the winter and perhaps even see them bloom again.
She put them in our bathroom next to our tub where they could get both light and moisture… at least as much as you can hope for in our dry climate.
Lo and behold, here’s the results over the past week.
Sweet!

Well done! I’ve never had any luck getting them to rebloom….
