Freedom of worship

As this is posted, Betty and I are worshipping at our church, Faith Church. Our freedom to worship this morning is one of the two greatest freedoms we have. The other is our freedom of speech.

Both of those freedoms are under attack today. It’s much worse in some other countries, but there are people in our country who would love to diminish and even eliminate these freedoms – at least for the people with whom they disagree.

My favorite artist of all time, Norman Rockwell, beautifully expressed this freedom in one of his four freedom paintings.

We had the privilege of seeing all four freedom paintings at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA several years ago. He truly understood what it meant to be an American.
