I’m part of a Wednesday morning men’s Bible study. With one exception we’re all older, mostly retired. We take our study seriously, but we also like to laugh.
This past Wednesday we had two good lines.
The first: A visitor to a monastery was walking by the kitchen where he saw someone frying potato chips. Trying to be funny, the visitor asked, “Are you the Friar.” The man looked at him and responded, “No, I’m the chip monk.”
After that, another of our group said after many years, he had learned three things: “God is good. The devil is bad. And people are stupid.”
We all agreed that was a pretty good synopsis of the Bible.
