A couple of things attracted us to the West many years ago when we started visiting out here.
We loved the big skies. For me, it allows my spirit to expand as I look out at the far off vistas we can see.
The other thing is the bright blue skies. We get 310 days of sunshine and almost every one of those days has a bright blue sky. The picture below is what it looks like almost every day.
SAD, seasonal affective disorder, is not something we have to deal with here. In fact, we enjoy those few cloudy, rainy days we get ever so often. They’re a nice change of pace.
