We lost a great American voice yesterday when Charlie Daniels, age 83, died from a stroke.
Charlie loved God. He loved his wife of 56 years, Hazel. He loved his country, especially the military and veterans.
He was a gentle man who treated his crew, back up band and singers as if they were his family. He was open and kind to anyone who approached him.
“The Devil May Have Gone Down to Georgia,” but I’m pretty sure Charlie is singing with the heavenly host and their hands are clapping and their feet are tapping.
