When I was in college I was in a co-op program where I worked for Frito–Lay during the Winter and Summer quarters of my Sophomore and Junior years. So, I’m very familiar with Doritos.
I also know from my P&G experience that you have to tailor products to the different cultures around the world. For example, Tide in the US is Ariel in Europe. Don’t ask me why.
So with both those backgrounds I found these two packages very interesting – Doritos in Japan.
I’m sure there’s some cultural meaning here, but darned if I know what it is.
