We’re over two weeks now in Betty’s recovery from her broken ankle.
One thing this experience is teaching us both is patience. Patience because we can’t do anything fast. Everything has to be done steadily so that her ankle is not affected by whatever we’re trying to do.
We’re also learning patience because we can’t make the ankle heal any quicker than God has determined. We can’t make the days go any faster so that we can get to the orthopedic doctor on Thursday. We can only take each moment, each minute, each hour and each day as they come.
The one thing that helps us be patient is believing by faith that God has a purpose for what we’re going through.
God never wastes anything and can use everything in our lives for his purpose, to build his kingdom, to glorify his name.
Patience and purpose go hand in hand.
