Christmas Gifts

Sometimes you get an unexpected gift on Christmas morning…

I was out with Jessie for her morning routine.

All of a sudden I heard Jessie barking. A Cooper’s Hawk came flying down low over her and she chased it. It flew over to our neighbors tree and settled there. It calmly waited for me to go into the house and get my camera.

It was a different Christmas morning. Usually, we would be with family in Kentucky and Tennessee. That was not to be this year. Just Betty, Jessie and me.

Yet, with focusing on the birth of Jesus and the gift of Betty, Jessie and a very calm Cooper’s Hawk, it was still a good Christmas morn.
