Like my 76-year-old body, our 18-year-old house needs some maintenance. When we bought our house 18 years ago, the common roofing material was tar and gravel. Since then, new and better roofing systems are available. So, last week we got a roofing company to come and replace our roof.
It’s hard work for the roofers as they have to scrape off the gravel first and then break up and remove the tar layer. Fortunately, the weather was good. One benefit we hope for is the almost white roof will help during the summer better than the dark gray, tar and gravel roof. It might save us a few dollars on our air-conditioning bill.
I used my drone to document the work and the results…
Looks great. Can’t believe it’s been 18 years!
