Martha Georgie Wade 5/27/1939 – 3/23/2026

We were in Fort Collins, Colorado visiting our oldest son and his family last weekend. During the weekend, Betty’s younger brother, Jim, called to tell us he found their older sister, Margie, unresponsive in her home. She lives in Conway, Arkansas, just a block away from Jim and his wife, Melissa. A stroke was the expectation.

She was taken to a hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas where they confirmed it was a stroke. After a couple of days of testing they confirmed she had suffered severe brain damage. She was put on hospice and died during the early morning of last Monday, March 23, 2026.

Margie was single her whole life and was a favorite aunt to all of our children, including our two sons, Wade Daniel and Chris. She was an excellent shopper and gave the nicest clothes for birthdays and Christmas.

She also loved to travel. She went on many trips with Nita, their stepmother, after their father died. They went to Egypt, China, Europe, and took several cruises. Betty took a river cruise with Margie through the Netherlands and she was our guide when we took our first ocean cruise to the Northern Mediterranean.

She was a kind person with a great sense of humor and a wonderful cook. She will be greatly missed, but we know she’s with Jesus in her new, heavenly home.
