Morning Star And New Moon

Sunday morning the Morning Star, actually the planet Venus, and a New Moon rose together over the Sandia Mountains.

Good News Wednesday

(For some reason the original post didn’t include the video. Hopefully, this one will.)

The caldera at Kilauea volcano decided to put on a unique show early Saturday morning. Two fountains of lava started pouring up into the air. Two fountains at one time is unique, but the heights were historic, one hitting 1,500 feet and the other 1,100. The glow from this show caused the sky to be red as far as the Subaru Observatory many miles away.

Our Interesting Doctor

Our doctor, who lives in Corrales, is an interesting person. She’s a private doctor who, in her youth, was a barrel racer at rodeos. She gives us a full, hour and a half wellness check each year and makes herself available within 24 hours if we contact her through her email portal. She also lets patients plant a full, 1/3rd acre, vegetable garden in the property in front of her office and the produce, almost 4,000 pounds, is given each year to St. Felix’s Pantry.

This past Saturday, she hosted her 13th annual Celebration of Health and Harvest for her patients and her medical friends and associates. There were three food trucks, Mexican, BBQ (our favorite), and ice cream for dessert, and a good selection of wine. There was a huge bouncy castle for the kids. And the weather was perfect.

She’s an interesting character and a good friend to all her patients.

God’s Promise

We don’t get that much rain in New Mexico, only 9 inches a year on average. When we do it’s usually in the late afternoon so, with the sun setting, we often get rainbows.

Once again reminding us that God has promised not to end the earth with another flood which is a good thing. However, we look forward to the end of this earth when the new earth is created upon Jesus’ return.

Come Lord Jesus!
