Pumpkin Spice Monday
Posted on September 8, 2025

I’m not a big pumpkin spice fan and it’s everywhere …

This is for our Ohio friends, Bob and Molly …

Boone’s Farm, cheap and available and really sweet …

I was just minding my own business then all of a sudden I’m 80 …

Future entrepreneur …

Sad truth …

Similar to the one from last week …

An old school English teacher I bet …

Animals in heaven …

We have plenty of these Wile E. Coyotes …

Not a problem for me because Betty is rarely wrong and I love her for it …

I met Betty in 1961 and I have loved every minute since. She is more loveable each and every day …

This would be a good test …

A timeless truth …

This touches me. As one who loves history, I have always admired England for their courage, duty and honor, especially facing the onslaught from the Nazis. It seems they’ve lost their way.

The Gift Of Laughter

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy;

When I was a kid, my dream was to be a sports cartoonist some day and my hero was Willard Mullins. Well, as I grew up, papers stopped using sports cartoons. My next dream was to be a sports photographer and I studied the photos in Sports Illustrated.
Well, life and needs led me to a career in business for which I am grateful. In retirement I’ve been able to do more photography.
Recently, I was able to fulfill my dream to be a sports photographer. A good friend at church is the head coach of one of the local high schools, Rio Rancho. He got me a media pass which allowed me to shoot photos from the sideline.
Here’s a few of the photos from this past Friday night.
When the team comes onto the field they are led by a player carrying the American flag. Nice.

Amazingly, before the game starts the team prays together. The prayer is led by one of the players, but the coaches add their support.

A couple of game photos.

I had to shoot a couple of photos of the band, which was great by the way. I love Tuba players.

A fun night and Rio Rancho won the game. I get to do it again in two weeks at their next home game.
