Betty took this nice picture of Jessie resting with me. What makes it unusual is she rarely rests like this with me. She does it often with Betty so I enjoyed it while I could.

In our day, cheerleaders chanted, “Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar. All for Tennessee stand up and hollar.” Today, they do amazing stuff like this.
Sorry, don’t know what happened to my original video. Here’s a replacement.
Summer Blooms
Posted on June 17, 2025
OK, I know it’s not officially Summer, but it’s hot enough to be Summer.
First, our last cactus to bloom, a Cholla. This large cactus was born from a six-inch cutting of a similar cactus in the sage area across from us. This is what 21 years of growth can accomplish. It stands above one of our blooming Prickly Pear Cactus.

Here’s a close up of one of the Cholla blooms.

Lavender, beautiful to look at and to smell.

Finally, a New Mexico Bird of Paradise, a native plant with beautiful blooms.

Another Star Trek pun …

Think about it …

So true, and I hate these things …

A perfect man answer …

My kind of Olympic sport …

I think I’ll stick with rear defroster …

Maybe too much time texting? …

Who knew? …

I love bacon, but this might be a step too far even for me …

Now we’re talking. I wonder where I can find some seeds …

This is true, but I’m almost 80 and I still do stupid stuff …

I’m walking that balance now …

Why kids want to rush to adulthood, I’ll never understand …

I have …

Not meant to be funny, but a sweet way to end this post …
