The Waning Moon

“Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.” —Tahereh Mafi

An interesting quote with some truth, but Jesus offers us a solution to the uncertainty, aloneness and imperfections. The solution is himself.

There’s a simple way to determine whether the moon is waxing or waning. Think of the word, DOC. If the moon resembles a D it is waxing toward the full moon represented by the O. If it resembles a C then it’s waning to a new moon.

  1. I always remember that the moon is eaten from the right and then fills back in! I like DOC.
