I’ve posted before about our bird visitors. We leave the door to our courtyard open so Jessie can come and go as she needs which is nice for us older folks. We’ve had several Finches, a couple of Hummingbirds, and even a Road Runner pay us a visit.
This past Sunday morning we had a Curve Bill Thrasher visit. We heard a thump and we believe he must have run into the window in the picture below before settling on the chair. I was able to slowly approach him with a towel and he didn’t flinch when I covered him and picked him up.
After taking him to Betty so she could see him, I walked him out into our courtyard and put him on the wall. He sat there for several minutes before looking around. Then a few minutes later he was gone so we feel sure he’s fine again.
Living here where we do and how we live makes for some interesting events.
