Corrales Christmas Event

One of our Christmas traditions is to attend the annual Christmas Craft Fair at the Old San Ysidro Catholic Church. It was built in 1868 when the parishioners abandoned the original Catholic Church on Corrales Road because of regular flooding from the Rio Grande River. This church was abandoned in 1961-62 when they built a new church back on Corrales Road after the Rio Grande River was tamed by water management. The old church was converted into a community center where historical talks, music concerts, weddings, and craft fairs are held. It’s a special place in our community.

Our First Snow

When I went out with Jessie Thursday morning, I discovered we had our first snow, such as it was.

Yet, Jessie loved it. Now matter how much or how little, she’s going to roll in it.
